HOW TO USE NO AMIGA TO WASTE
ADDING NEW IDEAS
- Go to the 'Ideas' subsection of the site by clicking on 'ideas' in the top navigation bar.
- Click on
in the subdivision of the vertical navigation bar if it's not already highlighted.
- Browse through the idea tree until you find a categorisation group that corresponds to the concept of
your idea. Categorisation groups to which you can post are indicated by a lightbulb
on the left side.
- Click on the lightbulb of the group to which you want to post your idea.
- Fill in the 'new idea' form completely.
- Submit the form to the verification script.
- Verify your idea a last time to check if everything was filled in correctly.
- Submit the idea to the pool of new ideas.
- Your idea will be proofread to check for inconsistencies, spelling errors, double posts or junk posts.
- Within one or two days your idea should appear on the site. If your idea was rejected somehow you will
be notified through email.
READING IDEAS
- Go to the 'Ideas' subsection of the site by clicking on 'ideas' in the top navigation bar.
- Click on
in the subdivision of the vertical navigation bar if it's not already highlighted.
- Browse through the idea tree until you find a short description that you find interesting.
- Click on the magnifying glass
to the left of the description to view the complete idea.
ADDING COMMENTS TO EXISTING IDEAS
- Expand an idea by clicking on the magnifying glass
.
- Click on the button that says 'Add a comment'.
- Fill in the new comment form completely and submit it the verification script.
- Verify your comment a last time to check if everything was filled in correctly.
- Submit the idea to the pool of new comments.
- Your comment will be proofread to check for inconsistencies, spelling errors, double posts or junk posts.
- Within one or two days your comment should appear on the site. If your comment was rejected somehow you will
be notified through email.
USING THE CATEGORISATION GROUPS BROWSER
- Fold/Unfold the categorisation groups by clicking on the arrows
, .
- Each category is followed by the number of ideas it contains and by the date of the last idea added
to it.
- Click on a lightbulb
to post a new idea in
a certain categorisation group.
- Click on a magnifying glass
to get more
information about a certain idea.
SUGGESTING IDEA CATEGORISATION GROUPS
- Go to the 'Ideas' subsection of the site by clicking on 'ideas' in the top navigation bar.
- Click on
in the subdivision of the vertical navigation bar.
- Browse through the groups until you find a parent path into which you subgroup fits.
- Click on the
button to start entering
your suggestion. Note that it's only possible to suggest subgroups of categories that contain no ideas.
- Enter the suggested subgroup in the text field.
- Submit the form to the verification script.
- Verify the suggested group one last time.
- Submit your suggestion to the pool of new groups.
- If the new categorisation group is found useful, it will be added to the ideas tree within one or
two days.
EDITING THE DEVELOPMENT HISTORY OF A RESERVED IDEA
- Go to the 'People' subsection of the site by clicking on 'people' in the top navigation bar.
- Click on
in the subdivision of the vertical navigation bar.
- Enter your login and password.
- Click on the button to login.
- Click on the radiobutton next to the idea of which you want edit the developmenthistory.
- Click on 'Edit development history'.
- Edit the development history in the textarea field.
- Don't forget that you can use a few tags to layout the developmenthistory somewhat. Instructions about this can be found under the textarea.
- Click on 'Save development history' when you're finished editing.
- The development history will show up when people 'read' this idea.
DROPPING THE RESERVATION OF AN IDEA
- Go to the 'People' subsection of the site by clicking on 'people' in the top navigation bar.
- Click on
in the subdivision of the vertical navigation bar.
- Enter your login and password.
- Click on the button to login.
- Click on the radiobutton next to the idea of which you want to drop the development.
- Click on 'Drop reservation".
- A detailed description of all the idea's data will be shown. Click on 'Drop development' if you really want to drop the development of this idea.
REGISTERING AS A DEVELOPER
- Go to the 'People' subsection of the site by clicking on 'people' in the top navigation bar.
- Click on
in the subdivision of the vertical navigation bar.
- Fill in the registration form.
- Submit the form to the verification script.
- Verify the data you entered a last time before registering definitively.
- Confirm your registration.
MODIFYING YOUR PERSONAL DATA
- Go to the 'People' subsection of the site by clicking on 'people' in the top navigation bar.
- Click on
in the subdivision of the vertical navigation bar.
- Enter your login and password in the form and submit it.
- Adapt your personal data in the form.
- Submit the form to the registration script.
- Verify the data you entered a last time before submitting it definitely.
- Confirm the modifications you made.
RESERVING IDEAS
- Read the idea that you want to take an option on by clicking on the magnifying glass
left of the short description.
- Click on the 'Reserve idea for development' button.
- Enter your login and password in the form.
- Reserve the idea by clicking on the appropriate button.
POSTING REQUESTS FOR DEVELOPERS
- Go to the 'People' subsection of the site by clicking on 'people' in the top navigation bar.
- Click on
in the subdivision of the vertical navigation bar if it's not already highlighted.
- Enter your login and password in the form at the bottom of the page.
- Press 'New request' to get access to the corresponding form.
- Select the development category in which you're searching (Programming, Graphics, Music/Audio, Designing).
- Fill in the required skills and enter a detailed description of the concerning project.
- Submit the form to the verification script by pressing on the corresponding button.
- Verify your new request a last time before posting it definately.
- Post the new request.
- You're automatically brought back to the 'wanted' page where you can see that your new request has been added.
DELETING REQUESTS FOR DEVELOPERS
- Go to the 'People' subsection of the site by clicking on 'people' in the top navigation bar.
- Click on
in the subdivision of the vertical navigation bar if it's not already highlighted.
- Enter your login and password in the form at the bottom of the page.
- Press 'Delete requests' to get the list of all your posted requests.
- Select the requests that you want to delete by selecting the checkboxes left of them.
- Delete the selected requests by pressing the corresponding button.
- You're automatically brought back to the 'wanted' page where you can see that the requests have been removed.
CHECKING OUT REGISTERED DEVELOPERS
- Go to the 'People' subsection of the site by clicking on 'people' in the top navigation bar.
- Click on
in the subdivision of the vertical navigation bar.
- Each development category will show up as a page tab. Click on the one in which you're interested.
