HOW TO USE NO AMIGA TO WASTE


AS A USER

ADDING NEW IDEAS

  1. Go to the 'Ideas' subsection of the site by clicking on 'ideas' in the top navigation bar.
  2. Click on tree in the groups subdivision of the vertical navigation bar if it's not already highlighted.
  3. Browse through the idea tree until you find a categorisation group that corresponds to the concept of your idea. Categorisation groups to which you can post are indicated by a lightbulb on the left side.
  4. Click on the lightbulb of the group to which you want to post your idea.
  5. Fill in the 'new idea' form completely.
  6. Submit the form to the verification script.
  7. Verify your idea a last time to check if everything was filled in correctly.
  8. Submit the idea to the pool of new ideas.
  9. Your idea will be proofread to check for inconsistencies, spelling errors, double posts or junk posts.
  10. Within one or two days your idea should appear on the site. If your idea was rejected somehow you will be notified through email.


READING IDEAS

  1. Go to the 'Ideas' subsection of the site by clicking on 'ideas' in the top navigation bar.
  2. Click on tree in the groups subdivision of the vertical navigation bar if it's not already highlighted.
  3. Browse through the idea tree until you find a short description that you find interesting.
  4. Click on the magnifying glass to the left of the description to view the complete idea.


ADDING COMMENTS TO EXISTING IDEAS

  1. Expand an idea by clicking on the magnifying glass .
  2. Click on the button that says 'Add a comment'.
  3. Fill in the new comment form completely and submit it the verification script.
  4. Verify your comment a last time to check if everything was filled in correctly.
  5. Submit the idea to the pool of new comments.
  6. Your comment will be proofread to check for inconsistencies, spelling errors, double posts or junk posts.
  7. Within one or two days your comment should appear on the site. If your comment was rejected somehow you will be notified through email.


USING THE CATEGORISATION GROUPS BROWSER

  • Fold/Unfold the categorisation groups by clicking on the arrows v, >.
  • Each category is followed by the number of ideas it contains and by the date of the last idea added to it.
  • Click on a lightbulb to post a new idea in a certain categorisation group.
  • Click on a magnifying glass to get more information about a certain idea.


SUGGESTING IDEA CATEGORISATION GROUPS

  1. Go to the 'Ideas' subsection of the site by clicking on 'ideas' in the top navigation bar.
  2. Click on new in the groups subdivision of the vertical navigation bar.
  3. Browse through the groups until you find a parent path into which you subgroup fits.
  4. Click on the new button to start entering your suggestion. Note that it's only possible to suggest subgroups of categories that contain no ideas.
  5. Enter the suggested subgroup in the text field.
  6. Submit the form to the verification script.
  7. Verify the suggested group one last time.
  8. Submit your suggestion to the pool of new groups.
  9. If the new categorisation group is found useful, it will be added to the ideas tree within one or two days.




AS A DEVELOPER

EDITING THE DEVELOPMENT HISTORY OF A RESERVED IDEA

  1. Go to the 'People' subsection of the site by clicking on 'people' in the top navigation bar.
  2. Click on maintainer in the personal subdivision of the vertical navigation bar.
  3. Enter your login and password.
  4. Click on the button to login.
  5. Click on the radiobutton next to the idea of which you want edit the developmenthistory.
  6. Click on 'Edit development history'.
  7. Edit the development history in the textarea field.
  8. Don't forget that you can use a few tags to layout the developmenthistory somewhat. Instructions about this can be found under the textarea.
  9. Click on 'Save development history' when you're finished editing.
  10. The development history will show up when people 'read' this idea.


DROPPING THE RESERVATION OF AN IDEA

  1. Go to the 'People' subsection of the site by clicking on 'people' in the top navigation bar.
  2. Click on maintainer in the personal subdivision of the vertical navigation bar.
  3. Enter your login and password.
  4. Click on the button to login.
  5. Click on the radiobutton next to the idea of which you want to drop the development.
  6. Click on 'Drop reservation".
  7. A detailed description of all the idea's data will be shown. Click on 'Drop development' if you really want to drop the development of this idea.


REGISTERING AS A DEVELOPER

  1. Go to the 'People' subsection of the site by clicking on 'people' in the top navigation bar.
  2. Click on registration in the personal subdivision of the vertical navigation bar.
  3. Fill in the registration form.
  4. Submit the form to the verification script.
  5. Verify the data you entered a last time before registering definitively.
  6. Confirm your registration.


MODIFYING YOUR PERSONAL DATA

  1. Go to the 'People' subsection of the site by clicking on 'people' in the top navigation bar.
  2. Click on modify data in the personal subdivision of the vertical navigation bar.
  3. Enter your login and password in the form and submit it.
  4. Adapt your personal data in the form.
  5. Submit the form to the registration script.
  6. Verify the data you entered a last time before submitting it definitely.
  7. Confirm the modifications you made.


RESERVING IDEAS

  1. Read the idea that you want to take an option on by clicking on the magnifying glass left of the short description.
  2. Click on the 'Reserve idea for development' button.
  3. Enter your login and password in the form.
  4. Reserve the idea by clicking on the appropriate button.


POSTING REQUESTS FOR DEVELOPERS

  1. Go to the 'People' subsection of the site by clicking on 'people' in the top navigation bar.
  2. Click on wanted in the general subdivision of the vertical navigation bar if it's not already highlighted.
  3. Enter your login and password in the form at the bottom of the page.
  4. Press 'New request' to get access to the corresponding form.
  5. Select the development category in which you're searching (Programming, Graphics, Music/Audio, Designing).
  6. Fill in the required skills and enter a detailed description of the concerning project.
  7. Submit the form to the verification script by pressing on the corresponding button.
  8. Verify your new request a last time before posting it definately.
  9. Post the new request.
  10. You're automatically brought back to the 'wanted' page where you can see that your new request has been added.


DELETING REQUESTS FOR DEVELOPERS

  1. Go to the 'People' subsection of the site by clicking on 'people' in the top navigation bar.
  2. Click on wanted in the general subdivision of the vertical navigation bar if it's not already highlighted.
  3. Enter your login and password in the form at the bottom of the page.
  4. Press 'Delete requests' to get the list of all your posted requests.
  5. Select the requests that you want to delete by selecting the checkboxes left of them.
  6. Delete the selected requests by pressing the corresponding button.
  7. You're automatically brought back to the 'wanted' page where you can see that the requests have been removed.


CHECKING OUT REGISTERED DEVELOPERS

  1. Go to the 'People' subsection of the site by clicking on 'people' in the top navigation bar.
  2. Click on overview in the general subdivision of the vertical navigation bar.
  3. Each development category will show up as a page tab. Click on the one in which you're interested.
