Project underway for about 24 hours now, and now a fully functioning MUI telnet client, just waiting for a bunch of nifty features to be added over the coming week-or-so :) Name: BBMud (It's written in Blitz, so ;)

Definitely something I'd like to see. Actually, a really good mu* client would be lovely, period - Tinyfugue is huge and unixy; AmiMud shows some promise but is insanely unstable on my machine and relies on your choice of con: replacements to provide a history buffer. Look at Tinyfugue for feature ideas for the core beneath the pretty interface. An ARexx port would probably be easier than an entire scripting language within the mu* client (which AmiMud promises upon registration). Ask about on your favorite mu* for reccomendations of pretty clients for other platforms as examples. Phoca's pervasive but not the only popular mu* client out there. Ideally it would be one window with two or three major areas: - the incoming text from the mu*, with a scroll bar - a place for the user to type their commands - (optional) toolbar Font-sensitivity and on-the-fly resizing of the areas in the window are nice, but not neccesary; that depends more on what choice the programmer might make as to GUI libraries (ClassAct, MUI, whatever...) You can find links to both the amiga port of tinyfugue and the home page of the author of AmiMud on the Amiga Web Directory.
