| Announcing... a distributed rendering project. You just read that. ------------------------------------------------------------ For the uninitiated, distributed rendering means using a whole lot of computers (preferably Amigas) to render a big impressive animation. So far (mid September 2000) the project consists of a small mailing list trying to discuss the project at http://www.egroups.com/group/reindeer The message archives are public, so you can see what's going on without joining the list (but of course we hope you will anyway). ------------------------------------------------------------ Oh, and in case you wonder, the name of the project is a portmanteau word, or whatever the term is for a word containing another word - in this case removing the i and one of the last e's leaves you with 'render', which is what we eventually intend to do - "i.e. render"! |
