Short description
Sample Editor with hard disk editing
Proposed name
Hard Tracks
Full description
A Sample Editor that can edit large samples stored on hard disk rather than in Ram, direct disk access (not via FFS) for extra speed.

It will not be a single program, but a complete sound processor programm, that can handle samples on disk, too. It is currently only planned for access via DOS, sorry!

For direct disk access it will be surely better if there would exist a dos-handler which provides access to specific tracks. Then you could use my hard disk editting feature for this track-handler. Maybe XFS can help you.
For later versions I plan audio sampling support via AHI, if there are drivers for AKAI S2000 or Yamaha A3000 available then, my program would support them automagically.
Due to the complexity of my project, the release of the first version will delay a lot.

Released Assampler on AmiNet
The people who added this wish didn't answer to earlier e-mails. Maybe they found other programs, that do the job already.

How about adding support for external midi samplers (f.e. AKAI S2000,Yamaha A3000,...etc)

What does Samplitude, a professional HD Recording program that is still in development and even has PPC future, lack that you need?
